The Meaning of Our Name:

Sojourners Community Church

The reason why this name was chosen is because of what it means to us. A "sojourner" is a person who stays in a place for a temporary period of time. As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that our eventual home is not this earth (at least, not until it has been renewed by God) but that while we are here, we have the opportunity to make a great impact during our temporary stay.

The word “community” is a part of our name because we value relational connection. Our goal as a church is to connect you to God, to others, and to the world around you; a world that needs your help.

And “church” because we believe that the church is God’s chosen instrument to turn things around, to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. In the end, the church is the people, and we aim to be disciples of Jesus Christ, loving one another, and serving the world around us.
