Jesus Conspiracy II: Life on the Vine

(April 19- May 24)

This is a six-week series in which we hope our whole church will journey through together with the intention to learn to live and love like Jesus. This series combines Sunday messages with a daily practices booklet, designed to help you begin to take steps that will allow God to transform your life. We also journey together in small groups where we can reflect and dig deeper into God’s word and desires for our lives. We know we are not meant to journey alone and so we want to invite you to partner with an existing Life! group or become a part of our new group meeting on Wednesday nights.

This year's Jesus Conspiracy is entitled Life on the Vine, and it is a reference to John 15:1-17.

We are going to be learning together what it means to live a healthy rhythm of life as a follower of Jesus. Here at Sojourners Church we label this healthy rhythm as Restore, Love, and Serve. Great Expectations

(4/2009) Palm Sunday & Easter

We often approach Jesus and His invitation to abundant life with specific and sometimes false expectations; we tend to put Him "in a box." When those expectations are not met, we enter into a "dark time" of disappointment, frustration, and blame. As followers of Christ, we always have the promise of another solution, God's solution. So lets not put God "in a box," but let's realize He's a God that's "out of a box."

New Beginnings

In a time when we are surrounded by failures: the stock market, housing market, banks and insurance companies, and maybe our own personal failures, it is encouraging to look in the Bible and find out what  a creative and resourceful God can do with failure.

The Bible is full of stories of failures and new beginnings. In this series we will explore these burning questions:

• can I come back from catastrophic failure?
  
• can God forgive me for what I’ve done?
  
• can I make my life good again?
• can God still use someone like me?
